    Description

    The Controller is responsible for managing overall and detailed expenses of Support Functions. Key duties include budget preparation, monthly results analysis, and acting as a finance liaison. Conduct monthly meetings with Product Line leaders, provide commentary for Finance Close meetings, and handle management reporting. Strong financial acumen and communication skills required.

    What you will do

    Preparation of the Support Functions budget.

    Preparation of monthly results for Support Functions and provide analysis/commentary on MTD/YTD basis.

    Review of monthly results for my client, provide expense commentary for monthly Finance Close meeting

    Meet individually on a monthly basis with Support Function Product Line leaders to review results, discuss results/trends and provide updates to Management as needed.

    Key contact for all management reporting issues between Support Functions and Head Office

    Participate in ad-hoc analysis as needed.

    Qualifications :

    Bachelor in Accounting or Finance, (preferred Master degree in Accounting or Finance),

    5 to 7+ years of experience in an expenses analysis function,

    Ability to analyze and summarize information, to effectively present information to Management, both written and orally, to effectively prioritize, to work autonomously and in groups, capacity to work across different product lines; to build forecasts/budgets, to work under tight deadlines; & multi-tasking,

    Capacity to manage a small team locally, while reporting to a manager based in New York covering activities in Canada and the US,

    Knowledge of accounting norms and standards (IFRS/US Gaap),
