Job Description:

As the Production Planning Intern, you will be responsible for:

  • Working closely with production planning team
  • Coordinating and expediting materials with internal and external vendors
  • Attending shortage meetings for all value streams, provide updates on expedites and delivery status
  • Reviewing and actioning backlog report weekly; expedite backlog shortages
  • Attending daily and weekly production meetings, address missing parts list
  • Updating delivery dates in SAP based on latest confirmation dates from internal and 3rd party vendors
  • Participating in supplier conference calls relating to delivery updates
  • Communicating delivery date changes from vendor to respective planner
  • Driving Continuous Improvement initiatives

Qualifications:


  • Must be enrolled in a college or university program, ideally in supply chain and operations, or a recent graduate (within the last 6 months)
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • SAP experience is an asset
  • Ability to interact with internal and external customers and stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills, detailed and organized, deadline oriented
  • Motivated, selfstarter, capable of working under minimum supervision
