The Municipality of Chatham-Kent has an opening for a permanent full-time Application Administrator (M365 Platform) in the Information Technology & Transformation division.

Job description

Essential responsibilities

Demonstrate Chatham-Kent's core values and competencies

Work with stakeholders to provide solutions to their needs

Design, develop, and deploy solutions within the organization's architectural and security principles, policies, and guidelines

Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent repeated future problems

Track access, usage and performance metrics on M365 Platform and related systems.

Identify common patterns and document best practices

Essential qualifications

College diploma or university degree (preferably in a computer science or other closely related program), with four (4) to six (6) years related experience

Proven strong communication skills

Experience in D365 Power Platform would be an asset

Experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques

Understanding of security standards, policies, and legislation to ensure the protection and privacy of sensitive citizen and employee information

Experience with enterprise M365 Platform for internet, intranet, and extranet purposes

Knowledge of relational database design and management techniques

Knowledge and hands-on experience of cloud-based systems (Azure) and managing software and security in the cloud.

Understanding of database management systems (SQL Server) and Structured Query Language (SQL)

Strong interpersonal and relationship development skills

Knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure, including Windows Server, Azure, Active Directory, IIS, and Systems Centre Operations Manager (SCOM)

Knowledge of reporting tools such as SQL Server Reporting Services, MS Project, Power BI and Visio

Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) (or other similar software program)

Certifications, memberships, licenses


MS - 900: Microsoft 365 Fundamentals - (Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals)


MS - 500: Microsoft 365 Security Administration (Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate)


SC - 200: Microsoft Security Operations Analyst


MS - 700: Managing Microsoft Teams (Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate)


Microsoft 365 Certified:
Enterprise Administrator Expert

Work environment/hours of work

This position works weekday hours, with occasional evening and weekend hours, and on call after hours and on weekends

Required to be available outside normal business hours to assist with major incidents

Benefits:


This permanent full-time position will receive benefits including: participation in the OMERS pension plan (mandatory), vacation entitlement and a comprehensive group benefits package following the successful completion of a 3 month waiting period.


This position has been temporarily approved for the Market Adjustment Grid (MAG) due to a combination of eligibility criteria, which will be reviewed on an annual basis.

The temporary adjusted annual salary range for this position will be $81,646 to $89,112 (based on grade 8 of the 2023 MAG).
