- A minimum of 3 years current administrative secretary experience is required, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Grade 12 Education.
- Successful completion of a recognized Administrative Secretary course or equivalent related experience is required.
- Successful completion of a recognized course in medical terminology is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office is required (eg., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Access).
- Expertise in compiling graphs, spreadsheets and creating posters using graphics is required.
- Excellent typing skills of 50 WPM, is required.
- Knowledge of Audio Visual equipment is an asset.
- Demonstrated excellence in time management, organization and prioritization.

Position Overview
Reporting jointly to the Manager of Knowledge Transfer Collaborative Practice, Resource Teams, and to the Manager of Special Projects, the Administrative Secretary III performs a variety of administrative duties to support Education Resources, Patient Safety and Quality Program.
Performs all duties in accordance with established health and safety regulations/guidelines, policies and procedures (e.g. utilizing personal, protective equipment as per safe work procedures). Notifies their Manager or their designates (i.e. supervisors) of all occurrences, injuries illnesses or safety and health concerns which are likely to harm themselves, their co-workers, or any others who enter the premises.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
