    Sales Assistant

    About Us

    We are Restwell Sleep Products, a fast growing privately owned and operated manufacturer and distributor of mattresses, foundations, and other related sleep products. Our manufacturing location is based in Surrey, BC and we are one of Western Canada's largest privately-owned mattress manufacturers. We supply to hundreds of independently owned retail bedding and furniture stores in Western Canada with such well-known brands such as Spring Air, NOVO Sleep, and Pure Energy.

    The Opportunity

    The Contract Sales Assistant will be reporting directly to the Sales Manager – Contract & Hospitality. The successful candidate will be responsible for building strong long-term relationships with existing Customers as well as assist in the development of new customers.

    Major Responsibilities:

    • Proactively seek out new leads through strategic prospecting methods, such as cold-calling, while maintaining regular communication with existing contacts to nurture relationships.
    • Support development and implementation of projects related to the sales department.
    • Consult with clients after sale or signed contracts to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support.
    • Liaise with Order Entry, Supply Chain, Production, Shipping, and Customers to ensure orders are entered, produced, and shipped on a timely basis.
    • Record and submit Sales Orders to the Order Entry Center and verify the accuracy of orders submitted and entered.
    • Provide prompt follow-up and resolution to inquiries.
    • Anticipate, create, execute, and manage customer communication as required.
    • Respond to requests for information from Customers over the phone and email such as requests for product information, product pricing and product promotions.
    • Communicate all order change requests and delays to all parties involved.
    • Maintain knowledge of products offered.
    • Update & maintain customer profiles.
    • Perform other sales support related administrative and clerical duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    • 2- 3 years of experience in a similar role either outside or inside sales.
    • ability in active prospecting, including cold-calling for lead generation, alongside adept maintenance of existing client relationships.
    • Excellent people skills both in person and via telephone
    • Communication skills including the ability to read, write & speak English.
    • Excellent organization and time management skills
    • Attention to detail.
    • Ability to multi-task, take direction and perform tasks within specified time frames.
    • Customer service focused and outgoing.
    • Ability to conduct self in a professional manner.
    • Ability to think and work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Proficiency in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Internet Browser applications.
    • Experience using CRM systems an asset.

    Compensation & Benefits:

    The starting hourly rate for this position will be between $19 to $20 per hour commensurate with the selected candidate's skill and experience. An extended Benefit and Income Protection Package including, Health, Dental, Vision, Prescription, Life Insurance, AD&D, Long Term Disability & Supplemental Life coverage is available after 3 months of employment. We also offer special employee pricing on our products

    Hours of Work: This position is part time, Monday to Friday, for 20 hours a week. Hours of work are flexible and can be discussed with the Contract Sales Manager.
