    Description

    We are looking for a highly motivated Financial Controller to join our team in Hamilton. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role involves full-cycle accounting and ensuring efficient business processes. You will also handle various HR tasks such as payroll and admin. Join our dynamic team with ample room for growth. This position offers a hybrid work model with three days in the office weekly.

    Responsibilities
    • Manage full cycle accounting operations including revenue recognition and month-end processes.
    • Assist in preparing quarterly public financial statements.
    • Coordinate financial statement audits with external firms.
    • Participate in budget preparation and monitor financial forecasts.
    • Ensure regulatory compliance in all financial reporting.
    • Contribute to financial strategy and decision-making.
    • Develop financial controls per company procedures.
    • Support mergers, acquisitions, and financial consolidations.
    • Drive finance department initiatives and system improvements.
    • Oversee payroll and HR-related tasks.
    Requirements
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong numerical skills.
    • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
    • 5+ years experience in accounting or relevant field.
    • Accounting education at the post-secondary level.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication.
    • Commitment to continuous learning.
    • Attention to detail and organizational abilities.
    • CPA designation or in progress is a plus.
    • Experience with Netsuite Enterprise is advantageous.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and G-Suite.
