    Your Opportunity at ARC'TERYX:

    As the Senior Manager, PMO, you will be responsible for building and deploying the project portfolio management process and project delivery process used within the Technology organization. You are an expert in project portfolio management and project delivery for a high-performing technology organization. You are a relationship builder and bring people together to improve and mature how the technology organization continuously optimizes the project portfolio to deliver value, faster, and cheaper. You are in expert in best practices to deliver technology solutions on-time, on-budget, and on-expectation. This position will support the CIO.

    This role is primarily based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to remote/hybrid work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada. This is a temporary opportunity until December 2025.

    Meet Your Future Team:

    As a member of the Technology Leadership team, you will directly lead a small team and contribute to the formation and execution of the overall Technology strategy and vision by leading the project management office. You will also be accountable for the virtual team of project manager guild, which are all those performing the role of project manager across the Technology organization. Collectively, under your leadership, the Technology PMO is the glue that integrates the Technology organization to the business functions of Arc'teryx to plan our projects and deliver them.

    If you were the Senior Manager, PMO now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
    • Leading the Project Management Office function as well as provide leadership and guidance to the Project Management Office team
    • Championing the project manager guild, our project manager community across the Technology organization and support their skills development and ensure PMO processes are being applied appropriately
    • Stewarding project management processes and related document templates to be used within the Technology organization
    • Establishing performance metrics and reporting for the project portfolio management and project delivery processes to monitor and report performance to senior leaders in the company
    • Supporting Technology teams execute project portfolio management and project delivery processes and templates using the Technology PMO's Planning and Delivery Process Framework
    • Aggregating the project portfolio roadmaps and project delivery status across the Technology organization and communicate it to senior leaders in the company
    • Partnering with business functions to improve and support integrated Technology team and business function project planning and delivery processes and templates, as well as establish robust business processes and mutual accountability on process deliverables and timelines
    • Facilitating cross functional workshops to align projects and roadmaps
    Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:
    • Working with the Leadership team across the company to ensure that the cross functional elements of the Technology roadmap are not silo'd, and resourced for the same time frame.
    • Working with the CIO, Technology and other key Technology leaders to deliver the Technology roadmap
    • Speaking to the leadership cross functionally on metrics for the department, measure of success and KPI's
    • Working with finance and other Technology leaders to obtain and track budget
    Are you our next Senior Manager, PMO?
    • You have a bachelor's degree in a Computer Science, Organizational Behaviour, or a related field
    • You have 10+ years of experience as a Project or related profession
    • You have 5+ years of experience leading a team
    • You are an expert in Agile, Waterfall, SCRUM, Kanban and other relevant project delivery processes including depth in understanding roles and responsibilities
    • You are an expert in project portfolio methods to prioritize work efforts optimized for business value, delivery timeline, and total cost of ownership
    • You are an expert in project portfolio management and project management software tool such as Microsoft Project, Jira, and Confluence
    • You demonstrate a high level of business acumen
    • You have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of stakeholders
    • You have strong analytical and critical thinking skills
    • You have strong facilitation, diplomacy, and leadership skills
    • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
    • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
    • You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
    • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
    • You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
    • Your passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it

    $122,000 - $152,000 a year

    A reasonable estimate of the pay range is $122,000 - $152,000 CAD at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training.

    Please note that the range details above reflect the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program and benefits that we offer.
