  • Overview: The Justice Centre, initiated in 2022 as a 5year project supported by funding from the Region of Waterloo, embodies a dual purpose. Firstly, it serves as a catalyst for addressing the root causes of social harms through upstream interventions and advocating for change in systems and policies that perpetuate harm and inequities. Secondly, the Justice Centre endeavors to embed restorative responses across all sectors of our community where conflicts arise, spanning systems, services, and organizations
  • Work with a Supervisor and Mentor to assist with our Justice Centre work:
  • Administrative Tasks
  • Data Entry
  • Sensitive document and information management
  • Coordination
  • Planning
  • Customer Service Skills
  • Dialogue and community gathering support
  • Social Media support
  • Conflict Management experience
  • Grow understanding of Restorative Justice
  • Hybrid work design available

Skills and Competencies:

  • Understanding of social justice or a willingness to learn
  • Highly collaborative style
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Proficiency with technology and the ability to learn quickly the navigation of tools like zoho, sharepoint, MS office, digital content creation, video editing, social media and design tools like canva and mailchimp, are all assets
  • Attention to detail
  • A criminal reference check will be required, however, a criminal record may not necessarily preclude employment
  • Must have flexibility to work occasional evening or weekend hours
  • Hybrid work environment
