    Associate, Finance & Operations (Analyst Level - Corporate)

    The Associate, Finance and Operations is an integral member of the Finance & Operations Team and will play a pivotal role in performing day-to-day accounting duties, preparing budgets and forecasts, improving management reports using advanced Excel functions for data analysis, and conducting budget variance analysis.

    Additionally, the Associate will be responsible for maintaining effective communication with members of the Finance team and managing multiple deadlines to support our corporate financial operations.

    Maintain accurate corporate accounting records, including preparing and posting journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements along with related working papers.

    These processes involve revenue and expenses accruals, expense allocation, foreign exchange translation, and consolidation.
    Reconcile balance sheet accounts, identifying and promptly resolving discrepancies.
    Compile month-end and quarter-end management and regulatory reporting packages.
    Review invoice coding for accuracy and assist with accounts payable (A/P).
    Calculate and file corporate HST (Harmonized Sales Tax).
    Prepare year-end audit supporting working papers and support the annual financial audit.
    Participate in system implementation and projects as required.
    University degree or college diploma in Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
    ~2+ years of accounting experience.
    ~ Strong skills in Excel and Word, including pivot tables and advanced Excel functions.
    ~ Experience with accounting systems.
    ~ Experience with Yardi is an asset.

    Ability to evaluate problems and always seek process improvement opportunities and automation wherever possible.
