The Opportunity:


Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday, business hours (37.5 hours weekly)


Your Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, health, business, public administration, or a related field or a combination of education. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Successful completion of a recognized certificate program in Human Resources and or benefits coupled with a mínimal completion of a oneyear business program or recognized employee benefits program.
  • Certificate in benefits and pension administrations, Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS), or Certified Benefits Professionals (CBP) designations are considered an asset
  • Demonstrated knowledge of collective agreements, employment guides, and relevant legislation, Labour Code, Human Rights Act, Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPOP), and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • 35 years' progressive experience required.
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously.
  • Demonstrated uptodate knowledge of labour trends and legislation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of collective agreements, employment guides, and relevant legislation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HRIS system, specifically SAP HCM, MPA, and MAP/Success Factors.
  • Demonstrated selfstarter, decisionmaker, and problemsolver.
  • Extensive knowledge of compensation trends, issues, etc.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and relationshipbuilding skills.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written).
  • Critical thinking, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills.
  • Excellent consultative, coaching, influencing, and mentoring skills.
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills required, with proven ability to handle multiple assignments and stressful situations simultaneously.
  • Excellent decisionmaking and judgment skills with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Effective work practice accountable, dependable, flexible, persevering, sets goals and meets deadlines, resultsoriented.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and decision skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively build relationships
  • Knowledge of adult education and learning principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Internet Explorer, Microsoft Outlook, and human resources information systems (preferably SAP).
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Competencies in other languages are an asset.
