- Performing book-keeping responsibilities - understanding the process of financial invoicing and reconciliation
- Providing clerical support
- Organizing and maintaining SharePoint study files per the program standards
- Performing patient administration functions, formatting documents
- Invoice issuance and follow-up outstanding payments
- Reconciling of study expenses
- Tracking of study expenses in program software
- Filing of all electronic financial files per program standards
- Quarterly reports on study expense status
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
- Minimum one (1) year of recent related clerical experience
- General knowledge of office practices, processes, and procedures
- Previous on-the-job computer word processing/spreadsheet experience
- Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to produce high-quality work by Hospital standards
- Completion of a recognized post-secondary secretarial arts program at the certificate level or equivalent preferred
- Experience working in a Microsoft Office software environment
- Experience working in a healthcare environment is preferred
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred

Position Summary
In support of the efficient operation of the Clinical Research Program, the principal responsibilities of the Research Clerk include: performing book-keeping responsibilities; providing administrative support; organizing and maintaining financial records of research expenses; reconciling study expenses and performing administration functions.
