    THE ROLE
    The Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for the internal and external reporting of Trimac's operations. The job description below reflects the common knowledge and responsibilities of all entities. This position has no direct reports.


    Financial Reporting:

    • Prepare monthly operations packages for various business segments.
    • Assist in preparing quarterly the Board and Audit Committee packages, including Financial and MD&A summaries and charts.
    • Prepare and review routine and nonroutine journal entries for monthend processes.
    • Prepare journal entries for acquisitions and assist with integration.
    • Complete nonbank account reconciliations
    • Yearend note disclosures for various entities
    • Support yearend audit process and audit requirements.

    Management Accounting:

    • Summarize large amounts of data to analyze key performance indicators (e.g. variance, trend, price, volume, efficiency, cost, acquisition growth, etc.)
    • Adhoc analysis – ability to create solutions to onetime queries or create sustainable reports as needed.
    • Assist with the annual budget process.
    • Ensure proper maintenance of internal controls and procedures.

    Technical skills:

    • 45 years of accounting or business analyst experience
    • Bachelor's degree in commerce or similar, CPA designation preferred.
    • Advanced Excel skill level
    • Strong knowledge of systems including ERP (Microsoft Dynamics, PeopleSoft, etc.)

    Direction Received / Impact of Errors:

    • Reports to Manager of Operations Accounting
    • This position can also receive direction from the Controller or CFO
    • The possible impact of errors can include misstatement of financials.
