    Description

    Your Opportunity:

    • The Service Worker II in the Operating Room is responsible for stocking surgical theatres and ensuring case carts are complete with necessary instrumentation.
    • Setting up OR theatre equipment and supplies to match surgical preference cards.
    • Assisting in the sterile core by organizing supplies and maintaining specialty carts.
    • Ensuring proper movement, cleaning, and storage of OR equipment.
    • Communicating effectively within a fast-paced operating room environment.
    • Assisting with positioning and transporting patients under supervision.

    Description:

    As a Service Worker II, you will prepare supplies, clean instruments, distribute patient care supplies, conduct equipment quality control tests, and transport patients and items as needed. Reporting concerns to Unit Managers and ensuring accurate stocking of patient care areas.

    Required Qualifications:
    • Grade 12 or equivalent.
    Additional Required Qualifications:
    • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
    • Fluency in English, ability to stand for shifts, lift heavy equipment, prioritize tasks, work under limited supervision, and respond well in stressful situations.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience in an Operating Room or Surgical setting.
