Trenergy is a 100 percent locally owned fabrication plant in St. Catharines specializing in the manufacture of boilers, pressure vessels, rail tank cars and more.

We are looking for an eager, hands on, innovative team player with some manufacturing experience to join our Estimating team.

This is an opportunity for one to become a respected, key member of the Estimating and Sales team, your contributions will lead to the continued success and growth of the company.

Principal responsibilities of the Estimator include but are not limited to:

Complete takeoffs of all materials and labour required to complete the project as per contract specifications and drawings
Liaison with customers and vendors to establish and maintain strong working relationships. Communicating with customers on technical questions for specific projects.
Develop customer proposals incorporating any feedback from Production Control, QA/QC or Welding Manager
Followup with Customers regarding proposals for potential sale on a scheduled basis

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Technology or equivalent Degree/Diploma
Five (5) years of experience in a steel fabricating environment
Proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Office, especially Excel with familiarity with Access
Experience with reading drawings and interpreting specifications
Familiarity with a variety of steel and steel alloy products
Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as welding in its many forms, NDE and various forms of shaping and machining metal
Communication and people skills
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Reliability and excellent work ethic
Ability to work under tight deadlines
Flexible and adaptable to everchanging priorities
