Please note:
this is a 18-month contract opportunity


Your role as a Sales Coordinator you will:

Audit and funding disbursement

  • Responsible to review transaction documentation package for completion and accuracy including proper execution, compliance with credit authorization and pricing guidelines, as well as operational policies and procedures
  • Execute and date booked contracts, upload to Databank
  • Ensures compliance with all provincial and federal regulations and internal company policies, including but not limited to Reducing the Risk (Anti-Money Laundering), Know Your Customer, and Information Security & Privacy
  • Ensures that all data elements in the system accurately reflect the transaction parameters and ensure accurate data entry of approved equipment lease transactions, preparation of vendor disbursements.
  • Works with Sales Coordination team to deal with any issues or additional information which may be required

Documentation and Collateral Security

  • Understands fully the documentation requirements for every type of transaction. For more complex transactions, works with Onboarding team to validate structure and documentation
  • Review and ensure liens are registered in appropriate jurisdiction and according to legislated timelines to perfect security to ensure enforceability of priority on equipment to minimize losses in the event of contract default.
  • Understands the Insurance requirements for each type of equipment/transaction and ensures that coverage is obtained, either through our internal programs or through customer's own coverage, as dictated by internal policy.

Administration

  • Followsup with Sales Coordination team and external parties to clear all deficiencies for all postfunding items.
  • Prepare and send out Welcome Letters
  • Send out EFT remittances to appropriate parties once deal has been booked and funded
  • Participates in team huddles, 1on1s and meetings, offering unsolicited constructive feedback for the betterment of Meridian and participates in stretch projects.
  • Identifies areas for process improvements
  • Completes all required trainings in a timely manner
  • As needed, participates in User Acceptance testing and becomes familiar with any new enhancements being implementedHas indepth knowledge of all required programs and products, fee structures, pricing guidelines and control requirements. Adheres to all processes as documented and stored in Knowledge Central.
  • Prioritizes tasks for the workday and reevaluates priorities as new tasks are required.
  • Performs related duties as assigned

How You Will Succeed:


  • Knowledge of leasing industry considered an asset but not required.
  • Effective analytical kills, with excellent attention to detail and strong focus on accuracy

  • Proficiency with MS Office products
  • Proven ability to work well with people and handle a variety of items simultaneously.

  • Extremely detail oriented, selfmotivated and a selfstarter, neat and orderly.
  • Possesses the ability to meet deadlines; ability to work within tight time frames
  • Ability to work cross functionally
  • Understanding of Lease documentation and security perfection
  • Strong math skills and understanding of discounted cash flow calculations and basic accounting
  • Ability to make decisions within their limits or recommendations.
  • Strong communication, organization and time management skills; ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers
  • Aptitude for mathematics including working knowledge of discounted cash flow analysis and associated tools
  • Basic understanding of accounting including client Accounts Receivable and balancing general ledger entries.
  • College degree/University degree preferred
  • Minimum one (1) year of administration experience preferably in financial services.
  • French as a second language would be considered an asset.

Office Location:
