    Position Title:
    Senior Manager, Information Technology

    The Compensation Range shown reflects JIBC's range for the role: between 85% and 100% of the sector range control point.

    In the normal course, employees will be hired, transferred or promoted between 85% - 94% of the control point, based on the knowledge, qualifications and experience for the role, with exceptions in the 95% - 100% range.

    This regular, full-time position is based at the New Wesminster campus.

    Fair Comparison/Excluded/Faculty Equivalent:

    We offer a total compensation package that includes a benefit plan, which includes Extended Health and Dental Benefits after three months, and enrollment in the College Pension Plan upon hire.

    This position provides leadership and management of professional staff in the direction and operation of the enterprise- wide information technology systems; including networks, servers, storage desktops & cybersecurity systems, to ensure a highly reliable and sustainable technology infrastructure, which is required to support the business functions, systems and applications used by the institute.

    Ongoing monitoring and optimization for all JIBC technology infrastructure, internal as well as cloud infrastructure;
    Co-development and maintenance of cybersecurity framework, processes, and systems;
    Co-develops enterprise-wide cybersecurity policies and procedures;
    Ensures network, servers, storage, desktops, cybersecurity systems are available for use and maintained according to JIBC policies;
    Manages major project implementations and enterprise support system activities;
    Research emerging technologies and coordinates initiatives involving vendors in the evaluation and implementation of new enterprise systems;

    Project management activities:
    track, monitor and communicate project progress against the project plan requirements, quality measures, standard processes and milestones;
    Manages and provides leadership to departmental and project staff;
    Develops departmental and project budgets;
    Develops business cases for major projects in regard to technology related initiatives
    Lifecycle management (planning, acquisition and support) of the institute's information technologies;
    Responsible for the security and reliability of JIBC information technologies;
    Provide leadership and direction for the institute network and information systems architecture;
    Manages vendor contracts for acquisition and maintenance of all information technologies;
    Responsible for setting, implementing and enforcement of IT related standards and policies;
    Assists CIO and participates in the development of Technology Strategic Plans and annual technology plans/ priorities / budgets for projects;
    Responsible for Disaster Recovery Planning and Business Continuity Planning for IT;
    Bachelor's Degree in information systems, business management or related discipline, or relevant work experience.
