The BC Construction Association is seeking a dynamic, versatile, highly organized and computer literate team player to work in their head office.
The role is a key provider of administrative support for the executive, project and departmental teams throughout the organization.
The position will collaborate closely with the Chief Operations Officer to ensure the association's daily operations run seamlessly and efficiently.
BCCA plays an important role in advocating for employers in the industrial, commercial, and institutional sector, which employs over 205,000 BC residents with $112 Billion in projects province wide.
BCCA's valuable industry programs and services include Bid Central, BC's largest online construction bidding marketplace, the Builders Code, a leading-edge workplace culture initiative in the dynamic stages of its rollout and growth, STEP, and BCCA IN.

Job Tasks:
- Providing administrative support to Executive Team.
- Draft, proofread and respond to correspondence and other written materials.
- Provides smooth communications between departments
- Maintain and organize paper and electronic filing system
- Provide calendar management support for President and Executive calendar including scheduling Zoom and Teams meetings.
- Take minutes and provide meeting support
- Arrange travel and accommodation arrangements
- Support COO in assembling and distributing Board meeting packages using WordPress.
- Support team on IT issues in collaboration with IT provider
- Updating Association information with BC Lobbyist registry, and Societies online.
- Liaising with the Association's insurance brokers to complete the annual insurance coverage requirements
- Support accounting and marketing teams as required.
- Work independently and within a team on special and ongoing projects including events and meetings
- Perform research and prepare reports as needed.
- Help prioritize tasks, manage deadlines and problem solving for various projects.

- Documentation and scheduling is professional and done in a timely manner
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Postsecondary education
- Minimum 5 years' experience in an administrative role
- Competence with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and MS Teams.
- Experience with WordPress, Zoom, SurveyMonkey and other technology an asset
- Experience with Board meetings, governance, and minute taking at meetings
- Maintaining the administrative office files and other office records
- Professional and friendly attitude

- Versatile skills required to adapt to a variety of tasks
- Strong written and oral communicator
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
