We are on the lookout for a skilled and dynamic individual to join our Warehouse team on-site at our Calgary head office as a Warehouse Supervisor.

    THE POSITION

    Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor is tasked with ensuring all Warehouse operations adhere to AVL SOP's. This role involves assigning daily tasks to Warehouse Associates and collaborating with the Operations team. The ideal candidate will possess problem-solving abilities, effective leadership skills, and strong communication skills. A willingness to learn AVL processes and procedures, as well as a background in a Health Canada regulated GMP facility, would be advantageous.

    DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Oversee and coordinate Warehouse operations, including attending the daily morning Operations stand-up
    • Maintain cGMP standards and enforce work instructions and SOPs
    • Ensure proper maintenance of Warehouse facilities and equipment
    • Receive and organize materials adequately
    • Prepare orders within internal timelines
    • Handle pick up and shipping of orders
    • Receive incoming shipments
    • Manage warehouse supplies and pallet inventory
    • Coordinate with Production department for staging materials
    • Organize disposal/pick-up of containers
    • Participate in Warehouse staff training and hiring process
    • Ensure documentation and communication tools are up to date
    • Collaborate with Facilities Manager for equipment repairs
    • Monitor and approve time off requests
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the Warehouse areas
    • Promote a safe work environment and ensure operations are conducted safely
    • Complete and maintain logbooks and records promptly
    • Perform other duties as needed

    IDEAL CANDIDATE

    Experience:

    • Minimum 5 years of Warehouse operations experience with 2 years in a supervisory role
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Class 5 Drivers' License with a good driving record
    • Forklift operation training and certificates
    • Proficient in Warehouse software systems

    • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
    • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
    • Demonstrates initiative and remains calm under pressure
    • Physically fit to lift and move objects, stand for extended periods, and follow safety protocols
    • Good vision and hearing abilities are crucial in a safety-focused setting
    • Comfortable working in a safety-sensitive environment

    Working Conditions:

    • Physical requirements including lifting and standing for prolonged periods
