You will lead the financial close production process and interface with multiple Finance leaders and auditors with your project and detail-oriented experience.

You will use your strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and multitask, and strong communication skills to run the closing calendar for all external filings from Finance as part of the monthly close.

As our business changes into a more streamlined organization with an emphasis on both efficiency and effectiveness, you will work with our Accounting, Reporting, Control, and Settlements (ARCS) teams to improve processes and policies while ensuring the current policies, including reconciliation (Balance sheet integrity) and Delegation of authority remains silent running to recast the Accounting team into a more agile business partner.

You will use your previous experience in influencing others throughout the Company to foster a culture of timely compliance while challenging the status quo with leaders.


What you will do

  • Manage the finance close calendar, ensuring timely and accurate completion of monthend and yearend activities including gross margin, volumetric, SG&A, and financial performance meetings, and any associated impacts to tax or regulatory filings.
  • Streamline the financial close procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy using relationships with Finance executives.
  • Partner with executives across Finance and Regulatory to ensure any changes to the close calendar are captured timely, utilizing a team of firstline leaders to accomplish changes through executing a change management process.
  • Own the balance sheet integrity program, ensuring compliance throughout the organization, managing relationships with the thirdparty service provider, coaching, and developing practitioners in the BSI program, and reporting compliance to Financial leadership timely.
  • Manage the financial systems and associated delegations of authority within the Accounting team, and partner with others managing financial systems which feed into the Accounting systems to ensure completeness and accuracy of transactions and appropriate delegations to personnel.
  • Administer the external audit financial statement project plan with Corporate leadership and work closely with auditors to provide necessary documentation and support during audits.
  • Stay updated on accounting regulations and changes, implementing necessary adjustments to ensure compliance.
  • Act as a liaison between finance and other departments to facilitate effective communication and information exchange.
  • Work with the Control team to participate in the development and implementation of Corporate policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and support to finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

What we ask

We require:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Proven experience in financial close processes and financial project management.
  • Execution of intermediate financial and accounting reconciliations, including ability to coach others and both report and remediate issues identified in the reconciliation program.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent communication, persuasion, and interpersonal abilities across all levels of the Company, including the C-Suite.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders that do not report to this position or function with facts and factbased opinionated analysis, elevating issues to leaders timely with proposed resolutions.
  • High attention to detail in project execution, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning accounting and financial software packages
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office 365

We desire:

  • Flexible ability to think about processes across Finance, Risk, Supply, and Operations to challenge the status quo for process improvement opportunities.
  • Previous experience in coordinating external audits, which may include direct financial audit experience with a reputable accounting firm.
  • Previous corporate experience coordinating with FP&A, tax, treasury, and regulatory teams.
  • Professional certification in Accounting or Auditing (CPA/CA, CMA, CIA, CFE).
  • Direct experience and intermediate understanding in accounting principles generally accepted in the United States.
