I hold a Bachelor of Science Honours in Life Sciences from McMaster University, where I gained an interdisciplinary understanding of and integration of all scientific fields. For my undergraduate senior thesis, I worked on bioinformatics, where I developed novel computational methods to analyze large data sets to study gene regulation mechanisms, which sparked my passion for data analysis and biotechnology. My academic success was reflected in my Dean's Honours List recognition four times, and graduation with Summa Cum Laude distinction. 
My interdisciplinary background and experience in bioinformatics have given me a strong foundation in data analysis and biotechnology, which I have further developed in my Master of Biotechnology degree. My Master of Biotechnology degree was completed at the University of Toronto and provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the biotech industry. The program focused on key areas of biotechnology, such as drug discovery and development, commercialization, and regulatory affairs. Additionally, the curriculum covered topics related to data analysis, machine learning, and statistical analysis, which were instrumental in preparing me for my current role as a data scientist. Throughout the program, I developed a range of technical and soft skills, such as project management, teamwork, and leadership. I also gained hands-on experience working with real-world data and complex projects, which helped me to develop my analytical and problem-solving abilities.
