BrightDrop Launch Operations Manager / CAMI Install Lead, April 2021 – August 2022
General Motors Canada Company - KUKA Livonia / Sterling Heights, Michigan
- International Assignment leading all aspects of the start-up BrightDrop EV600 electric delivery van manufacturing program across multiple sites in Michigan, USA.
- Working closely with KUKA Systems, transformed an empty warehouse and tuned it into a hand-built assembly plant (GM-first). Responsible for GSC, Production, and Quality.
- Ship to commerce status was received in 20 months which is a GM record time. Typical GVDP is 4 years. First vehicles were delivered to FedEx on time with great reviews.
- Collaborated with multiple plants for staffing, vehicle systems, and product development.
Body Shop Shift Lead, October 2016 - December 2019
General Motors Canada Company - CAMI Assembly
- Lead a Production team across the two legacy body shops and the new high-volume D2U body shop focusing on achieving Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness and Cost KPI’s.
- Established a strong working relationship with Unifor union members.
- Completed performance evaluations to aid in the development of direct reports.
- Implemented a CN buffer to eliminate the shop bottleneck entering CA.
- Supported GMS implementation to improve operations and achieve BIQ4 certification.
Plant Engineering Maintenance Lead, June 2014 - October 2016
- A change leader in the Plant Engineering Department facilitating multiple initiatives across many sectors including Safety, Training, Responsiveness, Recruiting and Labor.
- Implemented Safety Management of Change process. Worked with Oshawa to improve the corporate standard.
- Manpower forecasting and talent acquisition: screen, test and interview skilled trades, engineers, and supervisors to support launch activities and attrition.
- Implemented GMS into the maintenance organization. CAMI was the first Built-In-Quality 4 certified plant including maintenance deliverables.

- Responsible for supervising skilled trade workers and production workers in all departments.
- Supported multiple product launches and innovation improvements.
- As a former skilled trade, shared knowledge to electricians via one-on-one training sessions in the robot / PLC training room.
- Implemented numerous technical Continuous Improvement initiatives (first GM plant to utilize servo welding guns, paint predictive maintenance solutions, etc.).
