Lukas Stover

Working in Pest Control has been the most rewarding career I've had in my life. I love the independence. I love the variety of the work. But most importantly I love helping people and this job provides the opportunity to do that everyday. Currently I am employed at a very small Pest Control company called Innovation Pest Solutions here in Calgary as a licensed technician. I'm due to be laid off on October 1st. Innovative has a lack of work, which is unfortunate as I really enjoyed it when we were busy.

Here at Innovation I am given a take home work truck which I maintain. I order and keep my supplies organized as we do not have a shop. I have been traveling the province from Medicine Hat to Edmonton and everything in between doing residential and commercial pest control work. I have experience in restaurants , elder care facilities, warehouses, schools, apartment buildings, houses, etc. At Innovative we do a lot of cockroach and bedbug work so I am comfortable in both those environments. Currently we service a lot of low income apartments and I am very good with the problem tenants. I have a track record of being able to get into units that are resistant to treatment and getting tenants to comply by speaking to them in a rational, compassionate manor. 

I've also worked for Ecopest in Edmonton, which is where I first entered the field. I spent about 3 years at Ecopest and learned a lot. The set up was similar there. I was given a taken home truck and my jobs populated in a list on my phone. I started doing exterior residential sprays and quickly moved up into one of their lead techs. Here is where I first fell in love with treating and eradicating pest issues. Those first few bedbug jobs really stuck with me. When you first arrive the home is full of people in distress. But when you do the job thoroughly and to the book the results you get are incredible. And when you close the work order and leave the home you know you've really helped someone. 

Between Ecopest and Innovative I have gained a lot of experience. I have extensive experience doing rodent set up and treatments. I've also done countless ant, spider, and aphid treatments. I've done bat removals, clean up from rodent infestations. At this point I've encountered most pest issues and dealt with them effectively. I also have experience in civil construction and logistics. 

I really believe I am the right candidate for this position. I have years of relevant experience. I am very reliable and honest. I currently hold a valid Structural Pest Control licence in the province of Alberta. I would be happy to provide you with references from my current employer.
