Houseperson:
As a Houseperson, i was responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in guest areas, ensuring that the hotel met high standards of cleanliness and presentation. my responsibilities included:
- Cleaning and Maintaining Common Areas: Ensuring all public spaces, such as lobbies, hallways, and restrooms, were clean and well-kept.
- Assisting Housekeeping Staff: Supporting the housekeeping team by delivering and retrieving cleaning supplies, linens, and other necessary items for room turnover.
- Inventory Management: Keeping track of cleaning supplies and materials, ensuring there was always enough stock for daily operations.
- Customer Service: Ensuring guests’ requests were met promptly, from providing additional amenities to assisting with luggage or room requests.
- Safety Compliance: Following safety protocols, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment, ensuring a safe and secure environment for both guests and staff.
Laundry Attendant:
As a Laundry Attendant, I played an integral role in ensuring the hotel’s linens and guest clothing were cleaned and presented to the highest standards. my responsibilities included:
- Laundry Operations: Washing, drying, folding, and sorting linens, towels, and other laundry items for guest rooms and hotel facilities.
- Quality Control: Inspecting linens and other laundry items for stains or damage and ensuring they were properly cleaned and pressed.
- Inventory Management: Monitoring the hotel’s linen and towel stock, ensuring that all items were replenished in a timely manner and items that were damaged were reported for replacement.
- Collaboration: Coordinating with housekeeping staff to ensure a consistent and adequate supply of clean linens for daily room turnover and guest services.
- Maintaining Equipment: Ensuring that laundry equipment, such as washing machines and dryers, were well-maintained and operated efficiently.
