I have over two decades of experience across diverse software engineering and testing roles. Since 2014, I’ve been a Staff SDET at Harmonic Inc. in Burnaby, BC, where I develop CI test frameworks for video SaaS solutions, design staging environments on platforms like Kubernetes, GCP, and AWS, and implement test automation for UI, RESTful APIs, and video compliance. My work emphasizes video quality, cloud robustness, and optimizing test coverage.

Previously, as a System Analyst and Project Team Lead at the Hong Kong Observatory, I managed AIX system migrations, data modeling, and automated monitoring systems, along with IT training responsibilities. At ViXS Systems Ltd., I led customer support and firmware development for multimedia SOC platforms for clients like Sharp and Sony. In my role at Pixel Magic Systems, I focused on HD video processing, media player development, and hardware support on Linux platforms.

My career began as a Software Developer at ATI Technologies, where I contributed to the ATI Radeon driver for Windows systems. My technical expertise spans CI/CD, cloud systems, video compliance, networking hardware, and programming languages including C/C++, Java, JavaScript, and Python.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Hong Kong, completed in 2006, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, completed in 1999. These programs provided a strong foundation in software development, algorithms, and system architecture, forming the technical expertise I’ve applied throughout my career in software engineering and test automation.
