My name is Simar Dhillon, and I am currently enrolled in the Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) program at Saskatchewan Polytechnic in Regina. With a strong passion for healthcare and a deep commitment to helping others, I have dedicated myself to this field of study.

My journey in the world of healthcare began with my one-year experience as an elder caregiver. During this time, I had the privilege of providing care, compassion, and support to elderly individuals who needed assistance with their daily lives. This experience allowed me to develop crucial skills in patient care, communication, and empathy. It also reinforced my desire to pursue a formal education in the healthcare field, which led me to enroll in the CCA program.

At Saskatchewan Polytechnic, I am gaining comprehensive knowledge and practical training in the principles of caregiving, medical procedures, and healthcare ethics. I am enthusiastic about applying what I learn in the classroom to real-world situations, ultimately contributing to the well-being of individuals in need.

CAREGIVER (NISHKAM SEWA ASHRAM:-

Roles and Responsibilities: - Provided personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring residents' comfort and hygiene. - Managed medication administration, meticulously tracking schedules and dosages to prioritize residents' health and safety. - Vigilantly monitored residents' vital signs, promptly recognizing health changes and alerting medical staff as necessary. - Prepared nutritious meals while accommodating dietary preferences and restrictions, contributing to residents' health and satisfaction. - Prioritized residents' safety by preventing accidents, responding swiftly to emergencies, and maintaining a secure living environment. - Facilitated residents' healthcare by managing medical appointments, therapy sessions, and essential healthcare visits. - Enabled residents' mobility with expert use of mobility aids, enhancing their strength, flexibility, and overall well-being.
