POSITION TITLE:
Infrastructure Operations and Maintenance Technician

DEPARTMENT:

SALARY RANGE:
$51,000.00 to $60,950.00 Per Annum

POSITION TYPE:
Full-time, Temporary

LOCATION:
Batoche

ACCOUNTABLE TO:
Deputy Chief of Infrastructure and/or the Infrastructure Manager

Brief Overview:

Under the direction of the Deputy Chief-Infrastructure &/or the Infrastructure Manager, the Infrastructure Operations and Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ongoing maintenance, renovations, and construction projects as identified by the MN-S.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in inspecting buildings, equipment, and appliances for functionality, checking for faults, and repairing as required.
Assist in ensuring that properties are safe and void of any danger to their occupants, visitors, and workers.
Assist in diagnosing problems with lands, and buildings and facilitate and conduct their prompt repairs for the convenience of property users.
Assist in designing plans and schedules for works to be executed on properties.
Assist in the development of MN-S Bison pasture, facilities, and animal handling requirements.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years as a qualified and competent tradesperson.

Knowledge and Skills:

Work well independently and as a team.
Ability to travel.
Ability to work outside in all weather.
Ability to lift heavy objects and work from heights.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational, attention to detail, analytical, and problemsolving skills.
Knowledge of MN-S Governance structure.
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Additional Requirements:

The position is based on a 37.5hour work week Monday through Friday.
A valid Saskatchewan driver's license and/or access to reliable transportation to Batoche would be required.
