OVERVIEW:

The primary purpose and function of this position is to provide preventative maintenance and repair services at customer locations in accordance with established procedures and methods using appropriate tools, test equipment, and replacement parts.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide service to customers in accordance with all of Handicare's terms and conditions
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers and all Handicare's employees
  • Accurately identifies customer expectations and needs
  • Recommend products and services based on observed customer needs
  • Prepare and submit accurate reports on time
  • Maintain expenses and required inventory within Handicare's guidelines
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations
  • Responsible for regular maintenance and cleanliness of vehicle
  • Accountable for tools provided
  • Other duties as required.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing. Driver's abstract required
  • Ability for heavy lifting lbs) is required
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Commitment to providing superior customer service
  • Previous experience in the health care industry an asset

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, technical procedures, government regulations and procedural manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:

  • 24 years handson related technical experience
  • High school diploma

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is required. AutoCAD Inventor and Revit Building software knowledge and experience would be an asset.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • The employee may frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch during shift. Employee will be required to regularly sit, use hand to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms. Employee must be able to occasionally lift and or move up to 50 lbs.

TRAVEL:

  • Travel to customer locations within assigned territory. Some overnight travel required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This position works in an environment with moderate to loud noise levels.
