Security Administrator

Purpose

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot all installed systems and infrastructure including Fortigate and Cisco firewalls and VPN.
Administer and maintain security measures to protect information systems and infrastructure from unauthorized access, modification, or destruction.
Lead vulnerability management efforts across the organization's infrastructure. This includes running vulnerability scans, analyzing results, prioritizing vulnerabilities based on risk, and coordinating remediation efforts.
Monitor security logs and SIEM systems for abnormal behavior or securityrelated events, investigating and resolving any potential security incidents.
Administration and Management of

EPP:

Oversee the day-to-day management and administration of our Endpoint Protection Platform(s), ensuring systems are updated and maintained according to best practices.

Perform routine audits of the EPP to ensure its effectiveness and coverage.

Develop and implement security protocols and procedures and educate staff on them to cultivate a companywide culture of security awareness.
Conduct regular system audits to ensure hardware and software are functioning as expected and remain secure.
Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols.
Perform risk assessment, risk mitigation, and incident response activities as needed.

Requirements:

Educational experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience in Cybersecurity roles.
Proven experience with Fortigate and Cisco firewalls and VPN.
Familiarity with vulnerability management and SIEM systems.
Proven experience with endpoint protection platforms (EPP), including configuration, management, and response to alerts.

Familiarity with leading EPP solutions in the market is a plus:
e.g. Crowdstrike, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, etc.

Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies, and methods.
Strong understanding of network protocols and infrastructure security.
Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Certifications like CISSP, CEH, or relevant Cisco and Fortigate certifications are a plus.
Familiarity with MFA best practices such as timebased onetime passwords (TOTP), push notifications, biometric data, and security questions.
Solid understanding of Secure Sockets Layer Virtual Private Network (SSL VPN) configuration, operation, and troubleshooting.
Demonstrated knowledge of encryption protocols and cyphers, digital certificates, and public key infrastructure (PKI).
