Eastern Canada's leader in environmental, construction and transportation infrastructure services.

Tomlinson is seeking to hire an Events & Marketing Student from May to August 2023 for our Events and Marketing Team.

This would be a full-time 40 hours per week position working mostly in the office.

Location: 100 Citigate Drive, Ottawa, ON

What will you do?

Assist with planning and marketing for corporate events
Assist in sourcing venues, obtaining quotes and attending site visits
Prior to events source decorations and other smaller items to build upon the event attendee experience.
During events assist with attendee flow and experience management, take photos during events
Follow event marketing plan, including creating invitations for corporate events
Update website content and assist with developing new landing pages as needed
Produce reports on events, including attendees and opportunities encountered
Coordinate the delivery for marketing materials to guests and management
Assist in the preparation and execution of events
Assist with database marketing practices by managing design collateral
Updating the photo database
Assist with management of social media accounts
Currently enrollment in a Marketing or related program at a postSecondary level
Strong attention to detail
Fun and outgoing personality since you will be greeting event attendees and building upon a great event experience
Must have a valid G driver's license since you will be assigned to picking up materials at various sites
Social media marketing and account management experience is an asset
Strong oral and written communication skills
Solid knowledge of Adobe creative skills is a strong asset
