CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluate sourcing procedures and present improvement strategies to senior management for approval.
  • Analyze and calculate procurement costs and develop cost reduction strategies.
  • Drive purchasing decisions based on cost and scenario analysis, as well as market trends.
  • Negotiate contracts with key suppliers, including costs and terms of supply, service, and quality.
  • Collaborate with the product management department to identify and pursue new supplier opportunities.
  • Conduct market research, as well as create cost estimates and forecasts.
  • Lead and manage a team of purchasing professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure highquality work and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including operations, finance, and inventory management, to understand supply needs and establish procurement strategies that optimize inventory levels while maintaining cost control.
  • Communicate to senior management Supply Chain and service issues with short and longterm recommendations on resolution.
  • Prepare and present forwardlooking, future projections of inventory, volume, service, planning, capacity, and space considerations. Assure that the system parameters are correct. Manage communication between Teams.
  • Maintain strategic sourcing relationships and develop strong partnerships.
  • Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships
  • Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
  • Examine and test existing contracts
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
  • Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies
  • Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
  • Control spend and build a culture of longterm saving on procurement costs
  • Evaluate supplier proposals by interpreting and analyzing proposals against business requirements to recommend the best solution supplier recommendation to senior management
  • Analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and develop various evaluation models to identify and analyze strategic issues, business unit opportunities, service levels, consolidate noncritical requirements across different suppliers.
  • Develop different evaluation models which reflect the organization's principles and are appropriate for the needs of a specific tender for proposal.
  • Create plans to identify or recommend alternative suppliers against the sourcing execution plan, to maximize service levels and procurement activities and create alignment to longterm business strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University Degree in business, supply chain or related discipline; MBA preferred
  • CPM certification a is an asset
  • Minimum of 810 years of experience in Procurement and Sourcing including leadership in governance, process, systems, and data functions
  • Expert knowledge on best practices on the RFx competitive bidding process
  • Experience in negotiating and managing high dollar value, high visibility, high complexity strategic and/or confidential supplier initiatives at the enterprise level
  • Ability to influence and manage senior to executive level stakeholders using expert negotiation, facilitation, and mediation skills
  • Knowledge on best practices for establishing datadriven procurement processes leveraging spend and market analytics
  • Deep knowledge and interest in strategic sourcing and continuous improvement processes
  • Experience managing and lead
