- Lead the implementation and integration of new merchandising systems to meet business objectives and functional requirements.
- Collaborate closely and proactively with software vendors to ensure they have all necessary information and promptly address any queries or requests to facilitate a smooth and successful implementation process.
- Participate in regular project team meetings to share updates, identify, and solve issues, and facilitate decisions.
- Facilitate communication with cross-functional stakeholders, providing weekly status updates to the Director.
- Identify and mitigate project risks including developing contingency plans.
- Address issues and obstacles that arise during projects, finding solutions to keep the project on track.
- Manage all UAT activities according to project timelines and are well-executed. Ensure bug identification and resolutions are properly documented and tracked including assignment of priorities, working with developers to resolve issues, and ensuring that fixes are implemented in a timely manner.
- Coordinate the creation of new merchandising systems training materials, SOPs, and change management documentation.
- Provide end-user software training and post-implementation support to ensure user adoption success.
- Oversee daily business support for existing merchandising systems, including training and troubleshooting with the support of IT.
- Supervise Merchandise Business Analysts' workflow and training.
- Handle ad hoc projects, analysis, and data requests as needed.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in leading large-scale projects in fast-paced, complex business environments where multiple systems interact.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio or equivalent.
- Familiarity with JIRA, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Microsoft Project, and Smartsheet are considered an asset.
- Project experience with waterfall and agile methodologies an asset.
- Project management certifications such as PMP and PRINCE2 would be advantageous.
- Highly motivated individual with a strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated self-starter who can work under pressure with minimal direction.
- Superior organizational skills and the ability to balance multiple demands and deadlines and manage resources efficiently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with relevant stakeholders, including Merchandising, Information Technology, Finance & Accounting, Supply Chain, and other business teams.

:Job Summary:
The Merchandising Systems Manager partners with the IT team to lead the implementation and integration of new merchandising systems to meet business goals. They also actively collaborate closely with third-party vendors, participate in project meetings, solve issues, and update stakeholders. Regular communication with cross-functional teams, including weekly updates to the director, is essential. The Manager identifies and manages business project risks, developing contingency plans as needed. They also address project issues to ensure progress. Managing user acceptance testing (UAT) activities and coordinating the creation of training materials and post-implementation support for user adoption is crucial. Daily support for existing systems, including training and troubleshooting, falls within their purview. Handling ad hoc projects, analysis, and data requests is also part of the role. The Merchandising Systems Manager reports to the Director, Merchandise Systems and Initiatives and oversees Merchandise Business Analysts.
