    Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and validate new analytical methods for the detection of antibody-based therapeutics
  • Perform ELISA and MSD testing with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy
  • Analyze data, generate pharmacokinetics parameters, and prepare results for internal presentations
  • Complete study report and maintain experiment records
  • Contribute to the design of in vivo pharmacokinetic studies
  • Oversee sample management including sample receipt, organization, and archiving. Maintain complete and accurate records throughout
  • Assist with method transfer to Zymeworks colleagues and to external partners and Contract Research Organizations
  • Maintain laboratory facilities and equipment in good working order
  • Conducts all activities in accordance with scientific standards, OS&H regulations and established Zymeworks' policies and practices
  • Adhere to Zymeworks standard procedures for generating, documenting and archiving data.
  • Maintain an accurate, up-to-date lab notebook or electronic notebook
  • Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Pharmaceutical Science, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline
  • Min. 1-3 years of relevant experience in a wet lab setting in either a pharmaceutical industry or academic research laboratory
  • Skills and Abilities:

  • Previous experience with ELISA is required
  • Experience with GLP and ELISA automation is an asset
  • Previous experiences with cell-based assays and/or protein analytics, including immunoprecipitation, are an asset
  • Previous experience with non-compartmental analysis (NCA) is an asset
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize work, and meet deadlines
  • Capable of anticipating and recognizing potential problems within experimental designs and effectively communicating alternatives
  • Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as a member of a cross-functional team
  • Must be able to work onsite in Vancouver, BC
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The Canadian base salary range for this full time position is $48, - $74, + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
