- The resiliency and reliability engineering efforts that include designing and implementing strategies to enhance the robustness and dependability of our systems to ensure uninterrupted service availability.
- C loud optimization , cloud capacity planning and engineering, involving the meticulous management of our cloud resources to maximize efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and scalability while also engineering solutions to meet our evolving capacity needs in the cloud environment.
- Leading the performance and load test engineering efforts that includes designing, executing, and analyzing performance tests to ensure our systems met optimal performance standards, effectively handling high loads and providing a seamless user experience.
- Develop ing and execute strategic plans for operational excellence, aligning them with business objectives and ensuring the reliability and performance of critical systems.
- Collaborat ing with cross-functional teams, including software engineering, platform engineering, and infrastructure, to identify and prioritize areas for improvement in system reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Defin ing and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to the responsibilities of the organization.
- Stay ing up to date with related emerging technologies and industry trends and drive their adoption to enhance system performance and efficiency.
- Foster ing a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the team and across the organization.
- Driv ing the business continuity plans for applications under your responsibility. Define, implement , and rehearse appropriate disaster recovery plans and strategies.
- Manag ing relationships with technology vendors, negotiating contracts, and evaluating vendor performance to ensure adherence to service level agreements and contractual obligations.
- Collaborat ing with the security and compliance teams to develop and enforce policies, procedures, and best practices, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- More than 12 years of relevant experience in the field.
- Extensive experience in SRE or related roles, with a focus on managing large-scale systems and infrastructure.
- Five or more years of leadership responsibilities, including strategy, budgeting, and staffing.
- Experience in leading managers with teams spread between several time zones.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to develop and communicate a vision that inspires and motivates employees.
- Ability to build consensus, make decisions based on many variables, and gain support for major initiatives.
- Maximizing effectiveness of nearshore / offshore resource models
- Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning, and execution skills
- Strong oral communication and written presentation communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of SRE methodologies, principles, and best practices.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and experience with infrastructure as code ( IaC ) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- High level u nderstanding of containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar.
