BC Mental Health & Substance Use Services (BCMHSUS) is dedicated to providing specialized mental health and substance use services to adults across the province. As part of this commitment, we are looking for a Family Practitioner (FP) to join our team at the Community Transitional Care Program. In this role, you will play a vital part in improving access to primary health care, mental health, and substance use support to help clients successfully reintegrate into their community.
As an FP, you will collaborate with a supportive and inter-professional team to deliver quality care, supporting clients in living active lives during their transition period. This opportunity allows you to enhance your skills as a Primary Care Practitioner in a nurturing environment, where you will receive ongoing support from leaders and colleagues across various disciplines.
Join us in positively impacting the community reintegration process for individuals recovering from mental health challenges. Experience working with diverse psychiatric illnesses, substance use disorders, and personality difficulties is advantageous. Eligibility for licensure with CPSBC and certification with the College of Family Physicians, or equivalent, are required. Previous experience in Correctional Health and additional certifications are considered assets.
