    The Opportunity

The Department of Decision Sciences in the School of Business invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track appointment in Supply Chain Management at the rank of Assistant Professor, commencing July 1, 2023, subject to final budgetary approval.

You will be part of our team of faculty in supply chain and operations management. You will teach our existing undergraduate courses in supply chain management (business logistics management, procurement and supply management, supply chain risk management, and supply chain process management) and help develop additional courses in this area. Your primary area of research should be aligned with supply chain management or a closely related field. As a faculty member in the discipline, you are expected to be active in building and fostering industry relations and in promoting the student co-op program within Alberta and beyond.

    Qualifications

You will hold a Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management or a closely related field. You should demonstrate a primary commitment to undergraduate teaching and an ongoing research program in areas related to, but not limited to, supply chain management, logistics, and procurement. Additional areas of research can include operations research, business analytics, artificial intelligence, and blockchain technology. Candidates with professional/industry experience in supply chain management, especially in logistics management and procurement in the Canadian context, will be highly desirable.

You should submit a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, a teaching dossier (including your teaching philosophy, and recent teaching evaluations), a statement of research interests, and a sample of your research work. In your application, please provide the names of three referees. If you are shortlisted, we will ask for detailed references from your referees and for academic transcripts from the institution where you completed your degrees.

A review of applications will begin on January 2, 2023, and continue until a suitable candidate is found.

All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority.
