- Law degree and qualified to practice in Ontario.
- IAPP certified (CIPP, CIPM) or willing to obtain within the first year.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in privacy law or compliance.
- Experience in building compliance programs.
- Thorough knowledge of privacy and data protection laws.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Develop and enhance CAAT's Privacy Management Program.
- Build relationships with stakeholders and provide privacy law expertise.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and their impact on operations.
- Handle privacy incidents and lead privacy awareness training.
- Ensure compliance with records retention and privacy regulations.
- Review and advise on privacy provisions in contracts.
- Provide legal advice on privacy matters to leadership.
- Assist various departments with regulatory compliance.

The Director, Privacy Compliance and Privacy Counsel plays a crucial role in our success and growth strategy at CAAT.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Legal Affairs, the Director will oversee and enhance CAAT's Privacy Management Program, fostering a culture of privacy awareness within the organization. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and enforcing privacy policies, providing legal advice on privacy, cybersecurity, and data management matters.
