    Description

    This is your chance to join a successful, fast-growing company established in the burgeoning mass timber construction industry for the past decade as Structural Product Application Engineer.

    You are curious about an evolving sector of the mass timber construction industry with experience and expertise in building or product application engineering.

    You are creative and like to find solutions for complex technical challenges.
    Ensure that industry codes and practices are adhered to, and performance standards are met. Analyzing data to write up reports and double-checking documents and design literature.


    Projects will include:
    design guides and other technical guides, design tools, white papers, technical presentations, etc.

    Work to ensure quality control checks throughout all stages of the schedule, ensure deadlines are met, and meet the high standards set for the projects.

    Participate in the design, development, and collaboration of application engineering projects, as well as providing assistance and support to other team members and other engineering teams whenever necessary.

    Help other team members to solve complex problems. Is passionate about the sustainable building industry

    Is curious about mass timber construction, understands construction processes, and understands how to bring high quality service and support to our clients.

    Has the creativity to find solutions to a wide range of engineering problems.
    Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple projects at one time.
    Communicates with internal team members through a series of actions to find technical solutions.

    Degree or diploma in civil, construction, timber engineering or equivalent work experience with light frame or mass timber engineering.

    Knowledge of wood construction, structural hardware and design standards in Canada and the United States
    Strong analytical skills and capable of simplifying complex technical concepts.
    An ability to work independently in a remote team environment.
    Strong organizational and planning skills with a strong ability to prioritize.
