    Overview of the role

    We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Cloud Architect to join our team. This position requires a professional who is adept at coming up with solutions for multi-cloud implementations. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills and thorough knowledge of web applications, network, databases and various cloud technologies. This role is within our Commerce software portfolio helping build the next generation multi-cloud SaaS solutions. These solutions can include a variety of components including Search, AI, Commerce, Business User Tooling and/or Inventory.

    The commerce product team needs an experienced and dedicated Senior Cloud Architect. This position requires a professional who is adept at coming up with solutions for multi-cloud implementations. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills and thorough knowledge of web applications, network, databases and various cloud technologies. This role is within our Commerce software portfolio helping build the next generation multi-cloud SaaS solutions. These solutions can include a variety of components including Search, AI, Commerce, Business User Tooling and/or Inventory.

    What you will be doing

    • Design, develop, and oversee the deployment of new SaaS solutions.
    • Provide architecture design diagrams and reasoning behind technical solutions.
    • Define and design efficient end-to-end provisioning and automated solutions.
    • Define security elements for web services, network and applications.
    • Provide guidance on composable architectures across commerce, search and other services.
    • Provide designs around API management, event frameworks, and orchestration layers.
    • Be able to take legacy applications and design them towards cloud native architecture.

    What we need from you

    • Must have a work authorization as either Canadian Citizen, United States Citizen or Permanent Resident.
    • 1st candidate considerations are for those that would be committed to working in our Toronto Office
    • Some travel will ne required
    • 10+ years of experience in multiple domains listed below:
    • Database
    • Web applications
    • Network
    • Enterprise technology experience.
    • Must have 7+ years of end-to-end architectural including design experience wit at least one or more of the following cloud providers:
    • GCP
    • AWS
    • Azure.
    • Multi-cloud experience is a plus.
    • Cloud experience must have been on a large enterprise scale.
    • Strong knowledge of Java/Spring Boot and working knowledge of another language (e.g. Python, Node.JS, Typescript, etc.)
    • Strong knowledge of relational databases (Postgres preferred) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB preferred)
    • Must have knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker.
    • Working knowledge of search engine solutions (e.g. Solar, Elastic Search). Elastic or Open Search is highly desirable.
    • Working knowledge of event frameworks and streaming services (e.g. Kafka, Redis Streams).
    • Ability to communicate architectural designs to business stakeholders and engineering staff.
    • Preferred experience on Commerce solutions, SaaS Products or similar areas.
    • Strong problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • A proven track record of managing and delivering large-scale enterprise IT projects.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required.
