    Job Description :

    We are looking for a passionate, self-motivated, organized, and team-oriented Senior R&D Engineer with specific expertise in algorithm development and optimization theory to design key system components with applications to indoor positioning. Background in object-oriented programming design and complexity/performance optimization are assets.

    Required Background:

    · PhD in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field

    · Strong analytical, conceptual, innovative, and problem-solving abilities

    · Strong background in signal processing, adaptive filtering, optimization theory, and probability theory

    · Foundation in advanced mathematics

    · Must be capable of working in both a team-setting and independently

    · Effective communicator (both orally and written)

    · Innovative thinker with very excellent problem-solving skills

    · Ability to understand real-world data and the challenges thereof (i.e., not just computer simulations)

    Required Skills (Expertise in some of the following):

    · Prior experience with positioning, localization, or navigation (indoor and/or outdoor), is an asset

    · Prior experience working with Bayesian filters is an asset (e.g., Kalman Filters, Particle Filters, HMMs)

    · Understanding of key indoor positioning technologies/techniques (e.g., IMU, WiFi, BLE, Magnetic Field)

    · Experience working with magnetometer/magnetic field data.

    · Prior experience with sensor fusion or data fusion is an asset

    · Experience in machine learning, deep learning, learning algorithms are an asset

    · Experience in computer programming (e.g., working with C#, C++, or a similar language)

    · Good coding practices and a good understanding of computational complexities

    · Good understanding of object-oriented programming

    · Capable to learn and willing to contribute to both the "research" and the "development"
