    Construction Site Representative / Contract Administrator - (SITE_REP.Construction Site Representative / Contract Administrator
    Pump Stations, Wastewater Treatment / Water Resource Recovery, Water Treatment

    We currently have an opening for a Construction Site Representative / Contract Administrator based out of our Markham office.

    You will join the dynamic Water Division who are active on multi-discipline design and construction projects for a variety of public and private sector clients.

    This position is a contract position with benefits and has the opportunity for extension, transition to a full-time position.

    You will be responsible for providing on-site representation and construction services for multi-discipline construction projects in the water and wastewater sector.

    Project locations will be in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Areas.

    Overseeing the on-site construction of various infrastructure/water engineering projects.
    Reviewing and helping prepare associated construction contract documentation

    Engaging in daily contract administration duties as well as site inspection duties to monitor and document Contractor progress, workmanship, and conformance with the contract documents.

    Communicating regularly with the Associated Engineering, Client and Contractor project teams. Actively involved in project construction meetings.

    Serving as Associated Engineering's Representative in communicating with the public and other stakeholders through the duration of the construction contract.

    Participating in opportunities for providing general design and project design including analysis, testing, and commissioning of water and wastewater treatment plants and infrastructure.

    Participating in opportunities for contributing to all phases of projects from proposal writing, preliminary and detailed design, construction administration support, and Factory and Site Acceptance Testing.

    Undergraduate degree in Civil, Process, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution or Diploma in Construction, Construction Management, from an accredited college.

    ~ or, registered with designation(s) from OACETT, is an asset.
    ~ Interest in pursuing a career in construction contract administration and on-site construction inspection.
    ~15+ years of progressive experience in a Construction Site Representative / Contract Administrator / Construction/Project Management role, is required.
    ~10+ years of progressive experience in water / wastewater treatment facility design and/or construction, is required.
    ~10+ years of progressive experience with multi-discipline design coordination and construction, is required.
    ~ Experience with contract administration and on-site inspection principles, practices, and techniques, is required.
    ~ Experience working for a consulting engineering firm, construction firm, and/or a municipality is an asset.
    ~ Working knowledge of construction contract interpretation and construction acts.
    ~ Experience with monitoring and coordinating activities on a construction project including liaising with the Client, Contractors, Approvals Bodies, and Public, as required.
    ~ Proven experience with preparing various contract administration paperwork including agendas, minutes, daily logs, photographic records, request for information, testing reports, change orders, deficiency lists, construction payment certificates.
    ~ Familiarity with applicable local building / construction codes.
    ~ Experience with project scheduling computer software in assessing construction progress compared to tendered schedule.
    ~ Working knowledge of construction products, materials, and equipment, is required.
    ~ Inspection and conformance of construction works with contract documents and engineering design.
    ~ Experience with review of traffic management plans for conformance and implementation per Ontario Traffic Manual - Book 7.
    ~ Experience with preparing engineering sketches, technical specifications, quantity take-offs, and cost estimation.
    ~ Experience with start-up and commissioning of mechanical/process systems, as well as post-construction warranty services.
    ~ Experience with administration/management of projects involving reservoirs, soil management scope, roads, bridges, culverts, drainage structures.
    ~ Comprehensive knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for Construction Projects.
    ~ Ability to apply training & maintaining valid construction safety certificates – working at heights, confined space, WHMIS, First-Aid, CPR level A, and/or automated external defibrillator (AED) training, is required.
    ~ Experience with MS Word, MS Excel, and the latest version of AutoCAD.
    ~ Proven organizational, planning, and time management skills.
    ~ Maintaining a valid driver's license and ability to travel within Ontario.
