Description
As part of the team, you will perform a variety of tasks associated with installation, maintenance and repair overhead / underground power lines, cables, insulators, conductors, lightning arrestors, switches, transformers, street lighting and associated equipment.
Ensure that local and company H&S requirements and initiatives are upheld in order to provide a safe and healthy workingInstalling, maintaining and repairing overhead and underground electrical systems, including power lines and cables, and street lighting systems,
Ensure quality workmanship by conducting inspections of completed work which include analyzing drawings to verify compliance with job requirements and applicable related codes/regulations,
Coordinate with local electrical inspection governance to have work correctly approved per the local code requirements,
Inventory control;
Diverse and exciting industrial customer base
Continuous training and skills improvement
Certification as a Powerline Technician Journeyperson, including successful completion of MEARIE or IHSA Powerline Technician Training Program (434A Red Seal Powerline Technician) or equivalent
Be able to operate bucket trucks, radial boom derricks, hydraulic equipment and all other tools used in line maintenance and construction
Be familiar with and carry out live line work practices and techniques on the systems including stick work, and rubber glove techniques
Must have a valid Driver's License (DZ or AZ)
