    Description

    CORE Environmental, a division of CORE Geomatics Group Inc., is an integrated services company that believes the organization's most valuable assets are its people. CORE's Geomatics, Engineering, and Environmental Divisions all work collaboratively to provide our clients with efficient and innovative project solutions. Currently, our Environmental Division is seeking an:

    Due to continued growth CORE is seeking to hire an Environmental Specialist (Field Operations)

    The Work:

    • Working primarily in the field on oil & gas, construction, infrastructure, and renewable energy projects within a multi-discipline, virtual, team environment;
    • Irregular fieldwork shifts ranging from approximately 2-10 days in duration;
    • 20% office completing field data QA/QC and data entry.

    What you bring to the table:

    • 5+ years of environmental fieldwork experience (i.e. wildlife, wetlands, construction monitoring)
    • Experience driving ATVs, UTVs, and pulling trailers
    • Experience with navigational and field data collection tools such as Garmin GPS, Avenza, Collector, etc.
    • Experience working in adverse field conditions (remote locations, muddy roads, steep terrain, snow cover, etc.)
    • Technically strong in more than one of the following areas:
      • Vegetation ecology
      • Fisheries and water quality
      • Wildlife
      • Wetlands
      • Construction monitoring
    • Working towards a professional designation (P.Eng, P.Bio, P.Ag) is not mandatory, but would be considered an asset.
