Are you an early riser with a passion for sourdough bread? We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Sourdough Bread Baker.

As a vital member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality sourdough bread, ensuring consistency, and upholding our standards of excellence.





REQUIRED:
Reliable transport to 1071 Bank Street to arrive for shift at 4am.

Qualifications and Job Summary:

Prepare sourdough starter and dough according to established recipes and procedures.

  • Monitor fermentation processes to ensure optimal flavour and texture development.
  • Shape and score dough for proofing and baking.
  • Operate baking equipment including ovens and proofing chambers.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and equipment.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Assist in recipe development and innovation.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience as a baker, preferably with a focus on sourdough bread.
  • Strong knowledge of sourdough fermentation processes and techniques.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fastpaced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision.
  • Flexibility to start work early in the morning (4 am start time).
  • Passion for artisanal baking and dedication to quality.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
  • Food handler's certification (preferred).

Salary:
$18.00-$20.00 per hour
