    Salary:
    £55,200 – £83,000 + car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances, and wellbeing.

    We have fantastic opportunities for Project Managers to join the SSEN Transmission Capital Delivery team and lead projects in construction phases on exciting large capital projects to support Scotland's Net Zero ambitions.

    These are of varying scale and complexity with typical project values ranging from £20m – £500m+.

    Leading the SSE team and managing multiple external contractors, to ensure project excellence is achieved and we deliver on our promises.

    – Managing the development and execution of large capital projects, ensuring the safe delivery to programme, cost and the necessary quality.
    – Ensuring the project adheres to our Safety Management Systems, best practices and the SSE Large Capital Projects (LCP) Governance processes.
    – A strong project management, engineering or construction background and understanding of applicable health and safety regulations including CDM regulations.
    – Excellent communication and leadership skills with aproven track record in the successful delivery of large projects.
    – Contractual management experience (NEC3 experience is preferable), with the ability to forecast and control costs as well as develop and manage integrated project programmes.
    – Due to the location of our projects, there is a need to have a driving licence and, for delivery focussed roles, a willingness to travel to site and be on site for 2-3 days a week during construction.
    – Experience managing large electricity transmission projects would be great but, experience in managing major projects from other industries, coupled with the desire and ability to learn quickly is equally valid.
