Position Summary:

As a Boom Truck Driver, you'll operate vehicles requiring a "DZ" license and Boom Operator's certificate to deliver materials to consumers and contractors safely and efficiently.

Upholding safety regulations and delivering exceptional customer service are paramount in this role.


Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service and Delivery**:

  • Provide SMART customer service during all interactions with customers.
  • Operate DZ licensed vehicles with a valid Boom Truck Certificate.
  • Safely operate the Boom Truck Crane using remote controls.
  • Ensure correct loading of the vehicle and deliver products throughout Southwestern Ontario in a timely manner.

Safety and Vehicle Maintenance:


  • Ensure safety of pedestrians, employees, and customers while operating the vehicle and crane.
  • Take precautions to protect public and private property during operations.
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance on the truck and boom, including daily inspections and documentation.
  • Ensure all safety equipment, straps, and paperwork are in place before each trip.

Compliance and Record-Keeping:


  • Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to company CVOR rules.
  • Report all vehicle violations, changes in license status, and accidents promptly.
  • Ensure drivers' license is up to date and meets MTO requirements for the vehicle.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance issues and trips.

Teamwork and Communication:


  • Communicate effectively with customers and understand their needs.
  • Collaborate with the Yard Supervisor and other team members as needed.
  • Train, mentor, and work effectively with delivery helpers and other laborers

General Duties:


  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Keep the vehicle clean inside and outside at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
