Position Title:
Quality Assurance Analyst, Intermediate


Reports To:
Manager, System Analysis and Quality Assurance


Department:
IT Group Systems


Term:
Permanent Full-Time


Work Arrangements:

We are currently working remotely, and we will be moving to a hybrid model when our office renovation is complete (approximately September 2023), coming into the office a minimum of 2 days per week, every other week on designated days.


What you will be doing:


  • Create and execute Test Strategy, Test Plan and Test Cases
  • Create test automation scripts
  • Perform automated and manual testing
  • Assist in test analysis and participate in technical analysis meetings
  • Identify and document defects until resolution
  • Work on production support tickets to ensure their resolution and that it meets our business partners needs
  • Effectively communicate and explain defects to developers, assist developers in bug fixes, help developers and users to improve their testing where appropriate

What you will bring:


  • 3 to 5 years of software testing experience, test case creation, test execution, and defect tracking
  • Sound knowledge of QA practices, tools, methodology and processes
  • Experience in Group Benefits
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in test automation
  • 2 years of scripting experience Python, JAVA, etc.
  • Hands on experience with automation test tools such as Selenium, TestComplete, & Jmeter etc.
  • Knowledge of web service testing tools such as SoapUI, Postman & ReadyAPI
  • Experience with Test Management tools such as Microsoft Azure DevOps
  • Experience with XML file manipulation
  • Experience with SQL and GITHUB
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Selfmotivated, detailoriented, proactive, and collaborative
  • Awareness and understanding of cultural diversity
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, College diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in Agile as well as CI/CD considered an asset
  • Have or working towards QA Certification considered an asset
