Human Resources - HR AssistantUnder the direction of the Director, Human Resources (or designate) the HR Assistant will provide support to the HR team specifically pertaining to onboarding, housing, protocols, and performance/exit evaluations of all Temporary Foreign Worker's (TFW).
They will also assist in Health & Safety program updates and maintaining Employee Files. The assistant will support employee relations and communicate company messages to employees. The successful candidate must be people-centered, supportive, and flexible in order to create a positive work environment.Ensure Protocols at all Housing Facilities are maintained/tracked.
# Assist with Recruitment by setting up interviews and all related administrative correspondence.
# Conduct exit interviews and ensure feedback is communicated to appropriate levels of management, prior to the Temporary Foreign Workers return.
# Develops human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information, recommending courses of action.
# Perform administrative activities, in accordance with Human Resources procedures.
# Assist with employee services (assist with Medical appt, bank, etc.).
# Assist in employee data management by maintaining the electronic and physical employee personnel files.
# Assist in the data input into our HRMS – Ceridian Dayforce.
# Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management or working towards CPHR Designation.
Ability to work long hours especially during the harvest months of July and August. Will work evenings/weekends (schedule will rotate).
Working knowledge of Excel and Word.
Class 5 driver's license.
Applicants should be aware that this is a farming environment and days off may be limited during our growing and packing season.
Work hours are generally at 60+ hours per week during harvest season.00 per hour
