    Description

    Job Overview:

    Sales Associates play a key role in providing prompt and friendly service to customers. They actively engage with customers to understand their requirements and offer assistance. Working closely with their team leads and colleagues, sales associates operate in various departments such as Lumber, Building Materials, Paint, Hardware, Electrical, Plumbing, Seasonal, and Tool Rental.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Interact with customers to identify their project needs and level of expertise
    • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Explain the features and advantages of products
    • Guide customers on project steps and necessary items
    • Ensure cleanliness and safety of assigned areas and maintain product availability
    • Assist in physically demanding tasks like lifting heavy items, bending, and using ladders
    • Prepare and organize orders for delivery or pick-up
    • Use computer systems to manage inventory and orders efficiently
    • Assist customers in loading merchandise for pick up


    Desired Qualifications:

    • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
    • Previous experience in a dynamic customer service setting
    • Background in sales is advantageous
    • Strong communication and comprehension abilities
    • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
    • Knowledge of a trade is beneficial
    • Proficiency in computer usage
