    Description
    The Powertrain Controls Engineer - Intermediate is responsible for new feature development, and enhancements to existing algorithms.

    The Powertrain Controls Engineer - Intermediate will work closely with a cross functional team, utilizing various tools (vehicle, HIL, Dyno, Virtual, rapid prototyping) through the V-model development process to ensure quality and robustness of the production algorithms.

    Development and implementation of high voltage energy management strategies
    # Assess and document control algorithms against regulatory requirement
    # Validate control algorithms during the production process
    # Ensure project is on track by developing plans, track progress, and present technical report to management and project chiefs
    # Participate in the decision-making process on controls strategy design to achieve functional objectives

    Experience with developing control algorithms
    Ability to collaborate effectively with global teams on a remote basis % remote
    Knowledge of classic control theory
    Knowledge of optimization theory and optimal control

    Master of Science or an equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar disciplines from an accredited university with - years of relevant engineering work experience.

    Alternatively, a PhD degree in the above disciplines with demonstrable industry-oriented research experience is required.
