    Description

    Our client, a prominent consumer goods manufacturing firm, is seeking to hire a Financial Controller to join their team in downtown Vancouver.

    This role will be groomed to take on the Director of Finance position.


    Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, you'll be accountable for providing financial analysis, support, and planning models tailored to the operational strategies for the business units.

    Your proficiency in analyzing and interpreting financial data will play a pivotal role in articulating its significance to senior management and garnering their backing for the business plan.

    Serving as a strategic business partner, you'll provide insights and recommendations to senior management to facilitate informed decision-making.

    Your primary role as the Controller will entail overseeing full-cycle accounting processes, ensuring the accurate and timely production of monthly financials and internal reports.

    Additionally, you'll be tasked with gathering, compiling, and summarizing relevant information within a dynamic startup environment, utilizing data to extract insights and providing business planning, analysis, and reporting service.


    To qualify for this role, you should be a CPA with a minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Financial Controller in the manufacturing sector, demonstrating strong cost accounting skills.

    You must possess a solid ability to utilize data to drive insights and develop various financial models to support strategic initiatives.

    Proven experience in financial analysis and outstanding reporting skills are also necessary. A strong track record of leading a high-performing finance team and implementing system processes and procedures is essential. Advanced knowledge of Excel, along with prior experience using Sage 300, is considered a strong asset.
